Film Screening of Kwaidan
After an introduction by Reed Hessler, we will be screening Kwaidan, a 1964 Japanese portmanteau film directed by Masaki Kobayashi. Kwaidan, meaning “ghost story,” is based on four stories from Lafcadio Hearn’s collections of Japanese folk tales. The film won the Special Jury Prize at the 1965 Cannes Film Festival and an Academy Award nomination.
Moving Pictures @ the Hamilton gallery
Please join us for the showing of McCabe & Mrs. Miller,

Robert Altman has made a dozen films that can be called great in one way or another, but one of them is perfect, and that one is "McCabe & Mrs. Miller" (1971) ROGER EBERT / November 14, 1999
